The Clothing Cottage, a free clothing outreach operated through the Food Bank of Paulden, continues to serve families and individuals in need throughout the community. Managed by Dyanna Hoey, the Clothing Cottage opens its doors every Thursday, offering free clothing and household essentials to anyone who may need assistance. The program has become an important resource for residents, helping provide support with dignity and compassion.
Hoey explained that community members are welcome to donate items on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Donations include clothing for all ages, shoes, purses, household goods, and kitchen items. These contributions help keep the Clothing Cottage stocked with useful everyday necessities for families facing difficult times. Organizers encourage the community to continue supporting the effort through donations and volunteer involvement.
In addition to helping residents, some donated items also reach families outside the United States. According to Dayanne, the pastor of Paulden Christian Fellowship takes clothing and supplies to Mexico during missionary trips. Through these missions, the generosity of the Paulden community extends beyond borders, bringing aid and hope to people in need in other communities as well.
Dyanna has lived in Paulden for the past 25 years and is the mother of three children. She has dedicated many years as a volunteer at the Food Bank of Paulden, where she continues serving local families through the Clothing Cottage program. “We are like a family here, and we will continue helping our community. Thank you to everyone who donates to the Clothing Cottage,” she said.
