From coast to coast, millions took to the streets to protest the current administration’s policies. In Prescott Valley, Arizona, an estimated 3,000 people gathered on Saturday, March 28, rallying under the slogan “No Kings.”
The demonstration stretched along Highway 69 between Lake Valley Road and North Starlight Drive from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., marking a powerful showing in the third wave of nationwide protests.

Local participants came together in response to an economy that is spiraling out of control, an illegal war in Iran, and the continued use of ICE agents to terrorize our communities. Today’s action made clear that rural Arizona will not stand by while our neighbors are targeted and their freedoms eroded. «Arizona has never bowed to a bully, and we are not starting now. We are a state of fighters, of dreamers, of people who show up. And today, we are showing up together,» said Jessica Hoxsey of Prescott Indivisible.

The No Kings rally in Prescott Valley was hosted by Prescott Indivisible, the Yavapai County Democratic Party, the Democratic Women of the Prescott Area, and the Martin Luther King Peace and Justice Committee.

Partners at the national level include ACLU, American Federation of Teachers, Common Defense, 50501, Human Rights Campaign, Indivisible, League of Conservation Voters, MoveOn, National Nurses United, and Public Citizen.

No Kings is a mass, nonviolent movement that has already mobilized millions — from five million on June 14 of last year to more than seven million four months later on October 18. The movement continues to grow as communities unite to reject authoritarian power grabs and defend dignity and freedom for all.
«Nonviolent protest is not weakness — it is the most powerful tool a democracy has ever produced. We are using it today because we believe in this country and we refuse to let it be taken from us,» said Marion Pack of Prescott Indivisible.
